American Folk Art Landscape Painting

Description: In the manner of Thomas Chambers.  Many of the itinerant artist’s traits are evident in this painting: stage like set-up (he was from a theatrical family), circular left to right descending arc, too many ships (nautical background as well), similar brush stroke technique, and a man situated in forefront like the artist’s signature as if Chambers (NY studio painter) was there.  He signed only a couple of recorded paintings. 23″ by 19″
