“Foosball” 20th Century Modern Painting by Charles Green Shaw

Description: 30″ by 24″ Yellow base with geometric elements in chestnut frame. Provenance – Estate of Charles Carpenter who took care of Shaw until he died.   Then to Carpenter’s friend, co Yale Graduate and architect Victor Janner.  Purchased at an estate sale out of Janner’s house in New Caanan, CT in the 1970’s.  One of the largest and most impressive paintings by “a significant figure in the history American abstract art.”
